Yesterday, Kris Aquino along with her team flew to the United States for a medical consultation with specialists. Initially, she did not disclose the reason why she had to fly out, but instead assured everyone that she will be back in fighting form.
As we were all sleeping, she published a blog post titled “Health Is an Investment,” where she finally talks about her health condition as she believes transparency is something she shares with her readers—plus others might just learn more about their health based on what she is going through.
Since August of last year, Kris would regularly break out in hives every month and at the same time would cause her blood pressure to either drop super low or spike up. She shared that this would happen before or during her menstrual period. And since steroids present in Antihistamine causes her BP to spike, she also can’t take anti-allergies to calm down her hives. Kris would often go on bed rest and rely on topical products to soothe her skin.
The worst, based on her blog, allergic reaction happened last week. She broke out in hives and her BP shot up to 180/110 and because she was nauseous, she also couldn’t stop throwing up.
Kris couldn’t risk her health for the sake of her family and she also doesn’t want to have them worry. So she decided to act on her condition as soon as possible. Not to mention she also has an exciting lineup of projects and endorsements.
She is currently in San Francisco with appointments lined up in order for them to find the root cause of her allergy attacks and weak immune system.
