Looking to score unique fashion pieces? Why not get them somewhere you’re sure will make you and its makers feel good?

A lot of new businesses around the world and in the country have popped up today which do not aim for mere business growth, but rather go for something that makes a strong and lasting social impact— now, that’s a trend we all welcome.

Really, good for us, ‘cause it means we can shop ‘til we drop without any regret, knowing our money doesn’t just go down the drain.

You can start adding cart in these shops:

Habi Footwear

What initially started out as a thesis requirement, partners Janine Mikaella Chiong, Bernadee Uy, and Maria Paulina Savillo turned Habi Footwear into a full business that provides social impact through providing livelihood opportunities to mothers in communities, reducing solid waste through using upcycled materials, and actively promoting responsible fashion

Currently, Habi Footwear has partnered with four communities in Quezon City and adapted a business strategy which guarantees a higher income for its weavers.

Cop their comfortable espadrilles and sandals, and many more here.

Woven PH

Woven PH was borne in the hopes of keeping the tradition of banig weavers from Saob Cave in Basey, Samar alive. Its goal is to improve the lives of its weavers—mostly elderly women—through the production and sales of their handicrafts, and to sustain their tradition by cementing the livelihood as a culturally and economically viable which can be continued by the community’s next generations.

The organization claims, “We don’t just provide employment and market access to weavers; we rig the industry in their favor.”

Check out their wide range of products. Including chic and unique Laptop sleeves, mats, bag tags, purses, and bags in their website
