As heartbreaking as it is, miscarriages are actually more common than people think. I imagine that going through it is a difficult process and not everyone is comfortable talking about it. However, there are some women out there who choose to open up about their experience.
In an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, Carrie Underwood spoke up about hers. She is pregnant now but getting there wasn’t easy. “We got pregnant early 2017, and it didn’t work out,” she shared. “Got pregnant again in the spring, and it didn’t work out. Got pregnant again, early 2018. Didn’t work out.” She has had three miscarriages in the past two years and she wondered what was going on.
During that time, she turned to her music and writing to help her through it. “Throughout the whole process, you know, I’m writing and, like, literally right after finding out that I would lose a baby, I’d have a writing session, I’d be like, ‘Let’s go.’”
You can watch the video below to hear more about what she went through.
