Lizzo’s VMAs performance is a reminder to walk away from bullshit

Lizzo once again tore the house down with her self-love anthems “Truth Hurts” and “Good As Hell” at the MTV Video Music Awards 2019.

Clad in a bright yellow playsuit, Lizzo and The Big Grrrls, made everyone—including Queen Latifah!—sing and dance to her hit songs. The stage also had an inflatable booty in the middle because why not?

Towards the end of the performance, the singer stood on a pink platform to hype everyone up gospel-style. “I’m tired of the bullsh*t! And I don’t have to hear your story to know you’re tired of the bullsh*t too. It’s so hard trying to love yourself in a world that doesn’t love you back, am I right?” Lizzo said. “So I wanna take this opportunity right now to just feel good as hell. Because you all deserve to feel good as hell!”

Lizzo is known for her self-love anthems and for being an advocate for body positivity. She’s made waves this for her performances at the BET Awards and Glastonbury Festival.

Now we want to experience her live performances too. Does she have any plans to drop by Manila anytime soon?
