If you’ve noticed, Kris Aquino seems to be laying low for the past couple of days. She’s still posting on social media, but she’s not as active on Instagram Stories, not posting OOTDs and selfies, and her last YouTube video is a slideshow showing support to Maine Mendoza’s new film.
What happened? In an Instagram post, Kris revealed that she’s lost weight in the last six weeks because of a financial trouble she experienced recently. She further explained on Facebook that there has been “a careless disregard for my existing endorsement contracts, total lack of disrespect as a business partner.”
Kris clarified that she’s not pertaining to KCAP. It’s deals with 14 branches of Nacho Bimby+Potato Corner and Thai beauty brand Snail White.
“This has taken a tremendous toll on my physical and emotional well being,” Kris wrote. “Concerned relatives and friends have told me that it is good that I learned to what extent I have been taken advantage of early enough after 16 months, before more damage could have been done to KCAP’s finances and tax compliance, and the trusted reputation I have worked so hard to establish in the Philippine and Asia-Pacific business communities.”
She didn’t go into too much detail about the “betrayal,” probably because the case is still being processed by her legal team, Atty. Sig Fortun and former Solicitor General Atty. Florin Hilbay. What we do know is that she “fears that tens of tax paid millions from my sons’ trust fund money” was affected by the falling out.
“I am now being guided regarding all necessary legal action and proceedings to gain what is rightfully mine: justice,” Kris wrote, adding that she’ll be back in tip-top shape as soon as the doctor gives her medical clearance.
