Just announced: This year’s Closet Cleaning Sale, which was supposed to be held on Mar. 15, will be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. Photographer Shaira Luna said in an Instagram post that they’re looking to move it either in April or May.
Aside from Luna, the ukay-ukay sale was supposed to include preloved items from the likes of stylist Eldsz Mejia, Abraham Guardian of Ha.Mu, makeup artist Xeng Zulueta and more.
This isn’t the only fashion bazaar affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Bench’s Katutubo Pop-Up Market was also postponed to a later date to keep the public safe.
These come after the Department of Health (DOH) raised a code red warning due to the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in the country, including possible local transmissions. As of writing, there are a total of 33 confirmed cases.
We’ll keep everyone updated on Closet Cleaning Sale 2020’s new date.

Missed photographer Shaira Luna’s ukay-ukay sale last year? Don’t fret, she’s bringing it back next week, Mar. 15 at Siren Studios, Makati.
The annual Closet Cleaning Sale is where photographers, stylists, set stylists, fashion writers and other people in the fashion industry (basically Luna’s colleagues) sell their pre-loved clothes for as low as P25. It’s like an actual ukay-ukay store where you can find rare designer items for low, low prices.
