It was Carrie Fisher’s birthday yesterday (Philippine time), and everyone has been paying tribute to the late actress in their own ways. This includes sharing photos of Princess Leia, their favorite quotes, and that time she gifted a cow tongue to a friend’s abuser. But the best ones, of course, came from her daughter Billie Lourd and dog Gary Fisher.
She first posted a throwback photo with an emoji-filled caption which spelled “Happy birthday, momby.” And you know how Carrie used to get creative with emojis on her social media accounts.
Billie also showed off her new ankle tattoo of a moon and stars. A more minimalist version of Carrie’s galaxy tattoo on the same spot. (I’m also adding this to my list of dainty inks to get.)
Meanwhile, Gary’s official Instagram page posted a photo of Carrie cuddling her dog. “Happy birthday mom, I sure do miss you and the cozy days,” the caption read. I’m not crying, YOU ARE.
Happy birthday, Carrie! We hope you’re kicking butt up there in the stars.
