What is up with Stefano Gabbana? The co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana has been receiving backlash after he said that Selena Gomez was “so ugly”—no provocation at all. It’s like he just felt like saying it out of nowhere.
The rude comment was made on The Catwalk Italia’s post that featured Selena’s best red gown looks. Stefano wrote, “È proprio brutta!!!” (She’s so ugly!!!) As of writing, he hasn’t addressed the situation but fans and celebrities alike have been defending Selena since the comment spread on social media.
In the comments section of The Catwalk Italia’s post, 13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman answered back at Stefano. “You’re tired and over. Your homophobic, misogynistic, body-shaming existence will not thrive in 2018. It is no longer tolerable or chic. please take many seats,” he said.
Singer Julia Michaels tweeted her support to Selena, saying, “Just here to tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. I love you always.” Miley Cyrus also stood up for her former Disney colleague.
@selenagomez just here to tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. I love you always.

Fashion watchdogs Diet Prada also called out Stefano on Instagram Stories and included the hashtag “#saysorrytoselena.”
Of course, the Selenators didn’t fail to keep up with the drama and even updated everyone on how many followers Stefano has lost since making that comment. They also offered encouraging words to their beloved Selena.

This isn’t the first time that Stefano has bullied celebrities. E! News reported that he’s made harsh comments about Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss in the past. Yikes.
The lesson here? Keep your horrible opinions to yourself and don’t comment them where people could see.
