This is Kylie Versoza beyond her TV roles

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SAN MIG

Kylie Versoza may best be known as Miss International 2016, or for her roles in Ang Panday, Kasal, and Los Bastardos. But there is much more to this celebrity than her public persona. Kylie is—and has always been—a multi-dimensional woman who’s worth goes well beyond her title and stints in front of the camera.

Read on to find out more about this queen.

She was a pre-school teacher

Way before she got the crown, Kylie was actually a pre-school teacher. She previously worked for Playschool International, as well as Kabayani community training center in Parañaque.

While her Mental Health advocacy is more well-known, Kylie also promotes accessible formal education. In 2017, she flew to Brunei to visit a school for children with special needs.

She’s a fast reader

Yes, the Business Management graduate from Ateneo de Manila University is also a book lover. She makes time for them despite her busy schedule. She shares her reads through Instagram, and it seems she particularly likes Paulo Coelho’s works.

In one Instagram post, she shared that she read Brida in two days “through all the traveling time,” and read The Alchemist twice—and that was in 2014.

It’s in the genes

We all remember the time Kylie was crowned Miss International in 2016. The first time she joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, she made the Top 15. It seems her mom, Gemma Raquel Fausto, was her inspiration in pursuing her dream. In 2015, she revealed through an Instagram post that her mom also competed in the pageant in 1985, where she also finished in the Top 15. Posting it on Mother’s Day, Kylie thanked her for being “the most supportive, loving, and kind woman.”

She lives for baking

Yup, your girl also has skills in the kitchen. She can cook, but particularly loves baking. We know she can make chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla, and strawberry shortcake cupcakes. Now we’re figuring out how we could get our hands on them.

She is an “angel”

Kylie joins the select few to be chosen as San Mig Light’s ambassador. She joins the likes of VS Angel Kelsey Merritt, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. Last Friday, she surprised goers at the SML spectacle with her appearance.

Watch her full TVC below with Catriona, so you know what to expect in the likely event that she’ll surprise you and your barkada next. Hey, you never know. Trust us, you don’t want to be that person who misses out on that.
